Paint your brick!!

Before

I’ve been wanting to paint my brick for a while now.  But that’s a scary thing because what if it didn’t look right or what if I messed it up!?!?!?  That thing right in the middle of our living room would be pretty hard to hide!!!!  After seeing the Nester’s painted brick I was convinced it would look so much better!

One coat of this stuff, I used almost the whole container!  Watch Tennessee get killed and then I added a second coat of random white paint I found in the garage.

So so so much easier than I ever dreamed it would be!  Wish I had done it years ago!

Ahh Miss Button!! I remember years ago my friend painted hers, and it lightened the room. My very chic neighbors in the ’60s built their home with white bricks and neat REAL artwork!! So I am having a happy memory by seeing neat artwork and your newly painted bricks. Aren’t you glad you kept that bookcase? It balances your fireplace so well plus I love the unusual scrollwork in the same color above the fireplace.
My home is small and very open in the living area so I don’t have the fun rooms and nooks and crannies you have. But I’m blessed to have windows and hummingbirds right outside the window plus tonight I have my pots and flowers on tarps against my sofa table, out of my path, ready to create fall mini gardens to set by my door. These are fun and I have things from long ago I use to fill in my scenes. (I’m not into fairies). So while you paint and work and decorate, I will hopefully play around with a few of the arrangements! I take mini steps now holding on to a Mighty Shepherd!
Thank you again for fixing your computer and not quitting your posts that are work I know. But I enjoy them tons!! Happy end of the week to you!!
