I have been working at 32 Flavors Boutique for over 2 months now and I LOVE it. Apart from everyone thinking I’m selling ice cream, it couldn’t be more perfect. Michaella the owner is just the most wonderful, sweetest and willing to try anything kind of person. I am also happy that after years of inspiring and encouraging each other, Devon and I are finally working together at the same place.
I am thrilled and excited that Michaella has bought such a fun and unique boutique to our area. I am especially thrilled she is organizing and hosting an art festival this Saturday!!!
I moved here from Knoxville Tennessee about 7 years ago where yard sales start on Thursdays and every weekend is a good time for an outdoor festival. My daughter Lilly was a baby when we lived in Knoxville. Every Saturday morning I would load her up and we would hit whatever festival happened to be going on. I would walk around with Lilly in her sling and later as she got older she would walk along beside me. We would have picnics on the grass eating whatever food vendors were selling. I loved seeing all the different artsy people and the things they created and brought to sell. We listened to live music, people watching while waiting in line to get Lilly’s face painted for the 250th time (yes I secretly wanted my face painted too). We would pet horses, milk cows, do kid’s crafts, sample food, buy fresh fruits and flowers, try organic lotions, and buy lots of handmade creations. Those times as a new mom walking around with my baby girl, sun shining on me, inspired everywhere I looked, really have stuck with me and continue to influence me today.
So this art festival that Michaella is putting on here in Huntersville, NC this Saturday, means more to me than just a bunch of artist selling their art. It will be a reminder of those special times with my sweet baby girl Lilly, what I love, and what I miss so much back in Tennessee. I hope it will be a place where lots of people will come together to appreciate the uniqueness in each other and to be inspired. I hope to see lots of mommas walking around with their kiddos, exposing them to a little art and culture. My baby girl who is almost 10 will be there, only this time she will be helping ole mom with her own table!
