Metrolina Antique and Flea Market……..LOVEEEEEEE! When I’m at a flea market I feel like I’m with my people, I feel like I am where I belong. I don’t know what that says about me, but I come alive when I walk in those gates. I almost get a shortness of breath. I know WEIRD!!! I went Saturday morning and walked around for 5 hours. Yes 5 hours, and I could have spent another 5 hours if I wasn’t starving, tired of walking, and ready to get home to hang with the family. If you ever get the chance, Metrolina (in Charlotte, NC) is held the first weekend of the month and is definitely worth the trip!!
Here are a few of my favorite things, some I bought and some I tearfully had to leave behind.
A little inspiration for the day!
Beautiful Healthy cheap plants!
Tons of designer fabric at $4.00 a panel. Great to make pillows, bags, and my reason for shopping the fabric booth…skirts!
I have ALWAYS wanted one of these. The cheapest I could find was one for $75.00 going all the way up to $275.00. Maybe next lotto win.
I know a lot of people that are really into these things.
This is more my speed. I asked the lady if I could run her booth for her. She looked at me weird!
I knew I was in trouble when I ran across this collection of ribbon.
Loved these, but at $2,000 a piece I decided I didn’t like them that much!
$14.00 and I am still kicking myself for not getting this sweet vintage jacket.
Tons and tons of beautiful distressed furniture!
Loved this $6.00 bag.
I almost had a heart attack when I saw this. I couldn’t believe she only wanted ONE DOLLAR for it!! Yes I bought it.
Loved these lamps but they were $150.00 a pair. I thought flea markets were suppose to be cheap!?!?!
I will own one of these one day.
I just wanted this guy because he made me giggle out loud. I thought I could put him in my kitchen so I would always smile, but then I thought that it might scar my kids.
Can you see allllll those lamp shades!?!?!?!?
Lots and Lots of amazing hand painted orginal art. Reminds me of the paintings they have in Anthropology expect without the outrageous price tag. This woman was $20.00.
These guys were $4.00 each.
TONS of these different lighting fixtures. I wanted one of these for my laundry room to jazz it up a bit.
I bought some of these. They were $6.00 each which to me in a pretty pot, potted, and ready to go was a great deal!
I don’t even know what I would do with these doors but I would find a use for them somewhere somehow in my house.
Another $15.00 piece of original art! So mad I didn’t grab it up.
I was hoping these poufs would be cheaper since they were at a flea market but they won’t, so sad. Nester, totally wanted to buy one for you.
More pretty glass shaped things.
Now this made me stop. I have been looking for a small round table for our back porch. But this was just tooooooo cute with the little stools/ ottomans that slide under the table. I could see my kids and their friends sitting on them or me and my friends propping our feet on them!!!
I bought lots of beautiful flowers and plants.
And I had to get that table. I think I am going to repaint it black and then paint the little chairs/ottomans the same blue as the pillows.
My little potted plants have found a new home….
and my $3.00 elephant pillow loves his new place on my bench.
Again it reminds me of a Anthro knockoff!!
I also had to buy this little yoyo pillow for $2.00. Have you ever seen yoyos so tiny!?!?!!
Of course I had to buy some of that beautiful ribbon. I hope to make some tank tops for the summer and use the ribbon for the straps. My finally purchase were these awesome necklaces from Big Fun Raku. They gave me a great wholesale deal so that I could resale them at 32 Flavors Boutique!!!
Man I love a good flea market!
