Fabric and sewing machine.  If you don’t have a sewing machine, glue works too!

A little quote hanging above my sewing machine I thought I would share!

Funky apples just in time for school!

What is the first thing you are going to do once the kids are back in school???

I have a list of projects I can’t wait to tackle!  One thing I would like to do is spotlight different unique artists, their handmade products, Etsy shops, or webshops here on this blog.  If you make something super cool and would like to be an artist spotlight, please drop me a line up there in the contact section!!!

Angela! You would die to be nearby this weekend! Here, in VA, we’re having our annual “yard crawl”- 43 miles of yard sales along route 11!! I CAN’T WAIT! :)

I keep telling myself I need to open a blog- I guess I’m just nervous that I don’t know what I’ll write! I like that sometimes you write things, and sometimes it’s just very simple with photos and a few words. I need to remember that there’s no pressure!!

      Allyson!!!!!!!!!!!
OH MY GOSH!! I just got back home from Virginia last night!!!! Dang it!! Can I give you a list of stuff to look for for me!!?!?!?!? hahahahah! As far as the blog…. It has to be fun and no pressure. If it’s something that you think would be fun for you than I say go for it. You do as little or as much as you want. I use to worry that I didn’t have enough words or didn’t say anything inspiring. But now I always remember what one of my friends said who has a veryyyyyy successful blog…..One of her very favorite blogs was a girl who all she did was post one picture and a few words underneath the photo. That was it. Your blog can be whatever you want it to be! How fun is that!!!

Oh noo! You left too early! :) I’m hoping the weather holds out for us this weekend! There’s a 50% chance of rain! Oh well! Rain or shine, I’ll be out there!
I opened a blog account awhile ago- so I don’t know what’s holding me back! I think I’m too much of a perfectionist! I want the blog to look nice, and I have no idea how to do anything design-wise! haha!

So cute and creative – I need to learn how to spray paint better!

    • angela August 12, 2012 at 12:42 am #

      Thanks Mindy!!
Spray painting can be tricky, but ohhhhh so much quicker! I have found that the more expensive spray paint really is worth the extra dollor or two! Such fun colors now too!

It does!! I love that I can work with it to mix colors for a unique finish. I turned nickel colored metal plates into dark bronze colored pin boards using brown, black, and a metallic copper color. Super easy and I love how it turned out! So much fun! I saw you on The Nesting Place and loved your use of color in your home, so I thought I would come over and check out your blog. I can tell that this is going to be one of my new favorite hangouts. :o)
