Flower Power

Using what you have to create art is my kind of challenge.
Having a lot of odd things lying around your house does help!
I have a hard time passing up wood that is ready for some paint.  4 pieces of wood $2.00.

Felt scrapes, yo yos, buttons and broken earrings.
Free rulers. (I might have taken more than my share….shhhhhhh)
Pockets from a shirt I no longer wear.

Fabric scrapes and burlap.  If you don’t love to sew, glue that fabric together!

I woke up one morning and sat straight up in the bed and said, “butterflies made out of zippers and fabric”!!!  My husband looked a little scared.
Pom Pom stash from Mamaw Ruth.

Fun funky flowers from stuff laying around the house!

so sweet! your creations make me smile. had to go back to read whether you attributed that awesome, must-be-vintage pom trim. You don't see that around much anymore!!

I can't give up scrap wood either. This is adorable.

Oh, to have your imagination! Though I suspect my hubs would doubt my sanity if I suddenly sat up and talked about butterflies, zippers and fabrics, LOL. They are adorable. I can't pass us wood either and when hubs was stronger, neither could he. Ikea's “As Is” aka treasure room, had a big bundle of finished pine, like one piece to assemble a full hutch was missing for $6 so naturally I grabbed it. I think it's almost all still in the basement. but long story.
