I found this little end table for $5.00 at a yard sale.
It didn’t bother me a bit that some of the wood was broken off. Knowing my impatient self there was no way I was going to try to fix the missing wood piece. I knew a little paint would cover it up plus the missing wood piece would just add a little character!
While strolling along aimlessly in Lowe’s the other day, I found this beautiful color already mixed up! Ohhh already mixed up and ready to go and no mix the paint lines!?!? Did I mention I’m a tad impatient!?
I’m such a sucker for paint names. My dining room paint color was chosen based solely on the name!!! Vintage blue. Yep put vintage in front of anything and it becomes very appealing to me!!
Two coats of paint, a little distressing, and some antiquing glaze.
Another piece I was going to take to 32 Flavors Boutique or Sanctuary of Davidson but have decided to keep! Apparently I needed some furniture in my home!! Seems like lately I have been making and creating more for myself and friends then to sell. Totally puts the passion back in it when you do it for yourself or for someone you love.
Remember this weird piece I found on one of my yard sale adventures!?!?
It was $10.00 and pretty beat up, but it was just one of the most unusual pieces that I have stumbled across at a yard sale.
I went with a two tone paint job on this one. I was totally planning on selling it at either Sanctuary of Davidson or 32 Flavors Boutique when I finished.
But I couldn’t part with it. I hardly ever keep anything I make, but this just fit so perfectly in my home and made me so happy!!
Books $.50 each Habitat Resale Store, Owl $2.99 Michael’s, and candles my parents bought in Munich, Germany when I was a little girl.
Green ball thing $1.00 yard sale, Bouquet of flowers $10.00 Davidson Farmer’s Market, Anthro candle gift from my awesome friend Reeve!!!
Another awesome friend Tracy convinced me to join her for a bike ride this past Saturday morning. Little did I know she had a 16 mile round trip ride to the farmer’s market in mind!!!
I still can’t believe we did it!! I bought a bunch of yummy fruit and a $10.00 bouquet of flowers. I have flowers all over my house from that one bouquet.
Davidson Farmer’s Market anyone!?!?! See you Saturday morning!!?!?!
