A couple pair of shoes, couple bags, couple loaves of bread…..

My angel friend the Nester and I met for coffee Tuesday.  We are so funny, we usually sit and chat for oh about 20 minutes and then we are both itching to hit the thrift stores!  Before I know it we have hopped in one of our cars and are off, laughing all the way there.  We always have the best time, although I notice we both start walking a little faster as we approach the entrance, I guess we are seeing who can get in there first!  hahahahah

This was my loot from our latest stop at Goodwill.  For under $20.00 I found 2 pairs of new shoes, 2 books, 2 bags, and 2 loaves of bread.  Yes bread.

The bread man comes most days and drops off all sorts of different kinds of breads..  This is the kind I would buy if I am at the grocery store.  Grocery store price almost $3.00.  Goodwill price $1.15.  I bought it January 10th and the expiration date was January 17th.
I loved the color of both of these bags. There was nothing really special about either one of them, but for $2.99, I thought I could take them home and try to Anthropologie them up!

Yard sale find.

This stuff is great.  I love pom poms but they can be kinda pricey if you buy them by the yard at your local fabric shop.  At Michael’s they sell this skein of pom poms for under $5.00.

My grandmother made these beautiful butterflies.  I have been saving them hoping to use them in a project.

Clover Pom Pom maker!  Best thing I ever bought!  You get 3 sizes for 7.99.  My 9 year old daughter and I both love using it.

Can you tell I’m ready for spring?!?!  Love that I was finally able to use my grandmother’s butterflies.

This one didn’t turn out exactly how I pictured it in my mind.  But for a $2.99 I will use it for something!

What a fun day. Thrift store shopping has been slim pickings here. I did however find a NEW pair of Born shoes for 3.99 at the Goodwill the other day. Nothing like a fun day of thrifting. Jackie

    Fantastic redo of the bags.

Like you, I have a thrift friend that's fun all the way. Thrifting on my own isn't quite the same.

love what you did as usual!! Word of warning re: Goodwill baked goods though. Definitely check those dates. I “treated” my son with a box of something sweet (can't remember) on one of trips to the G. and AFTER biting into the moldy thing realized it was 4 wks past date. Nope didn't put him off the ones from the real grocery store though.

It's crazy how much brand new stuff you can find at a thrift store! I have bought lots of clothes with the tags still on! Great score!

Great score, no doubt! My thrifting buddy & I are currently on hiatus since both of us are overstocked with projects. We just have to talk each other thru the urge to go by sharing our latest finds on Pinterest for things to make with what already have. After seeing your bargains & what you've done, im going to need to call her to keep from venturing out to the local GW! We have 3 locations around here plus 2 other thrift giants, all within 10 miles of us, (so you can see how we easily got overstocked!) however, the prices seem to keep getting higher. I think they must have seen us coming!

However, stylish ladies have a tendency to be ready to spend extravagant quantities of budget for high price handbags just to create a declaration on their choices and lifestyle, sustain apart the show up of those handbags.
