If there is a full moon it might just explain a few things.
This past week I have been like a school girl in love. My head is so up in the clouds I can’t focus or concentrate on anything. I wore two totally different earrings the other day and accidentally sang to the checkout lady at the grocery store. I’ve walked into several walls and I’ve burned two things in the kitchen because I just walked out and forgot I was cooking something. My kids talk to me but I’m not hearing them. I see their mouth moving but I don’t hear the words. I’m like talking to a wall! I told my daughter to quit eating with her mouth full. I don’t know what is wrong with me. I even took a nap the other day!! I NEVERRRRR take naps! I’m like the daydream queen of the year. I’ve always been a little spacey but this is ridiculous.
I’m not sad or depressed, actually quite the opposite. Giddy and silly and plain space cadet city! The lights are on but no one is home. Don’t I sound fun to hang out with!? I just had a birthday. Could this be what almost 40 is like!?!?
I have started several projects but haven’t finished any except this one. Thank goodness cause I need something to take to Sanctuary of Davidson. My space is looking a little bare. Let me see if I can focus long enough to explain how I did this fun project!!!!
Quilt top from Goodwill!
Mod Podge
Quilt top Mod Podged onto wood from Lowe’s.
Once the Mod Podge was dry I traced these letters on the back of the wood. No my husband was not a happy camper with all the ink I used in his printer! Yes I did print the whole alphabet!
I put on eight layers of clothing to brave the cold and go out in my garage to cut out the letters with my jigsaw.
Yard sale frame for $1.00, and a thinner piece of wood from Lowe’s.
Used my jigsaw again to cut the wood to fit the frame,
and nailed it to the back.
Had to add my favorite Duck Egg Blue chalk paint!
The S from my dining room makeover on the cheap.
Happy Monday! Here’s to a more normal week! Although having my head in the clouds has been kinda fun! Anyone else go through these kinda spells?

My name is Angela Statzer and I love to incorporate just about anything into my artwork. Ranging from recycled materials, vintage items, wood, jewelry, other people’s junk, buttons and fabric, my style is fun and diverse. You can find me smiling at any yard sale, thrift store or flea market. I am a momma to two amazing kids and wife to one hot husband.

I have been similar, but not the giddy, happy thing. Many things on my mind get me that way. I too have used a lot of ink printing out things like that. Wish I could find some GW quilt tops like that, but ours would be $100 here. GW here is no bargain these days. Praying a blessed week for you.
I hear you Jackie! Goodwill is way too high these days! I found that quilt top in Bristol TN when I was home visiting family. Their prices were no where near as high as this area. I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee the country thrift store, that is where the best stuff is!
Thank you for your prayers, I’ll take them!

Is it weird to say that my very first reaction to your post was… “Are you pregnant???” lol! I guess that’s maybe how I felt when I first found out I was expecting!
I love seeing little bits and pieces of your home! You are such a creative spirit!

“Accidentally sang”? I love it!
Yes!!!! Ever heard the song Wagon Wheel!?!? Yep that is what I poured over the poor checkout girl before I even realized it! I feel like I am in the twilight zone! hahahaha! Not such a bad place to be sometimes!

I think creative spirits sometimes runneth over, causing us to have our heads in the clouds in a very good way. You have such wonderful projects as a result, though. You are amazing.
Thank you Dottie! You made me feel better. Yes I think our brains just work in different ways then the rest of the world. I feel like I am starting to get back to “normal” somewhat today! At least I am getting a few things done. Thank you for your sweet words.
lots of love
