This wood piece that I cut from the Noel/Love sign almost ended up in the trash. As I picked it up, I realized it looked a lot like a roof! I suddenly had an idea for a wood house starring this piece of almost trash.
I grabbed another piece of wood that was screaming to play the part of the house.
Odds and ends.
Small ruler for the chimney.
Old quilt scraps for the windows and the door.
A little black thread to outline the windows and the door.
I then broke out my stamp collection and a wood bird from Michael’s.
I Mod Podged stamps onto the bird until he was completely covered,
and let him dry for about an hour.
It only took me 45 minutes to find my exacto knife! Once I found it, I cut around the bird removing the stamps that were hanging over the wood bird.
Remember these flowers I found at Goodwill? I still had a few left over!

Wish I could be your neighbor! Such talent, you could teach me to see the possibilities with a little bit of this and a little bit of that. My sweet husband will be in Charlotte this weekend.
