Joy

Trash to treasure

I found these awesome cut up wood doors at Metrolina Expo for $5.00 each.  I bought 6 and have been kicking myself since wishing I had bought more.

Trash to treasure

I found this “J” at the Habitat store for $1.00!

My mom brings me joy.  I had the flu last week. The real kill me now flu.  All I wanted was my mom.  I just wanted her hugs and her kisses and her love.  I miss you mom.  I hope when my kiddos are grown and gone they will want the same. xoxox Angela

Hope you’re feeling better! It’s amazing that even when you’re a grown adult how you can still want your mom when you’re sick! I’m glad I’m not the only one!

As always, beautiful work! You’re one of the most creative people I “know!”

    xx Allyson

You’ve done it again! I would say my two boys (husband & son) bring me joy. They both know just how to calm me, and encourage me when I need it most. Jackie

      Hey Jackie!
How are you!?!? Can you believe it is almost Christmas!?!? Yes my babies calm me too…….sometimes:) I peeked in on my son and he and Dixie May (the dog) were all curled up and it made me so happy. Totally Joy!

Angela, you continue to be awesome! If it wasn’t POURING rain, I’d be out scrabbling around in the barn looking through stashes of odds and ends to do something similar!
And I really miss my mom too – she passed in 2005…. no-one can take care of you when you are sick better than your mama!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Laura I want to come and hang out and go though the barn with you! That sounds so fun!
      lots and lots of love!

Sooo cool!! You inspire me to never throw anything away…your creativity with found treasures knows no bounds!! I wish the north were as cool as the south…I can never seem to find cool stuff to make things out of. Then again, maybe it’s just me… :) Hope all is well in Charlotte! xo (ps—I seriously almost drove to NC for your and the Nester’s sale a week or so ago…but i couldn’t get over the stalker-ish nature of that notion. :) glad it went well!!) Oh—my four kids bring me joy—and my husband of 14 years. He’s a keeper. :)

Yes Jennnnnnn!! Never throw anything away!! hahahha! Husbands all around hate me! Where do you live up north!??! I wish you could have come in for the sale! It was so much fun. Maybeeeeeeee we are talking about doing another one in the spring!!! I will let you know and then you can make plans! Thanks for your super sweet comment!
      lots of love

Ha! You are the reason I hoarded 3 crusty old window panes and several large wooden boards in my garage for 9 months and FINALLY now just finished sanding, painting, hacking, waxing them up. Drove my husband bonkers to have them sitting there for so long, but so worth it!!! I live in a suburb of minneapolis, minnesota…so about a 20-hour drive from Charlotte…I would’ve won the prize for longest drive (and craziest person). We have family in Raleigh and Charlotte, though, so if you have another sale, maybe i could convince hubs on a road trip and we could pop in for the day!! xoxo

One of the things that bring me joy is blogs and bloggers like you & yours. Of course the Lord, Bible, worship, family, service, good memories and I suspect much I can’t think of.

    • angela December 1, 2012 at 1:57 am #

Yes Janet the Lord and quiet time with him bring me much joy. To be completely honest I have been so super busy that he has not gotten my attention first thing in the morning like normal. I can tell I am completely off and not as peaceful as I am when I start my mornings with him. Thanks for the reminder! Starting tomorrow!
