I am so excited about November!! The Nester and I have two fun and exciting weekends that we would like to share with you! Nester and I are cleaning out our homes, our closets, our garages, our offices, and having a BIG SALE. The Sale will have tons of home stuff, tons of clothes, jewelry, art work, home stuff, furniture, books, and did I mention home stuff!!! It’s nicer than a yard sale but not as new as retail. You do not want to miss this! I went over to Nester’s house last week and let’s just say it was complete and total torture to leave without begging her to let me buy everything right then. That would kinda defeat the point of me getting rid of everything in my house!! The best part about the Big Sale is that a portion of the sales will go to Compassion. So feel good about getting some of that Christmas shopping done for loved ones or yourself, while supporting a good cause.

November 10, The Nester and I will be at the 3rd annual Marketplace put on by The Kilgoris Project for Kenya.
Marketplace is an annual fundraiser where local and international artisans gather to promote their work while supporting a worthy cause. All proceeds from Marketplace events help fund The Kilgoris Project, an organization that educates, feeds, and provides medical care for hundreds of Maasai children in rural Kenya. (from the website)
Marketplace is a handmade marketplace featuring vendors and artist who sell everything handmade. I will be there selling my Button Bird Designs goodies! Come on out and support artists, buy handmade for Christmas, and support a worthy cause.

That red leather coat is fabu! My husband and I are going to the BBQ festival in Lexington, otherwise I would make the trip down from Greensboro. I’m sure you will sell everything because ya’ll have some awesome items for sale. Great idea to donate part of it.

So many of my fave bloggers are southern, I feel misplaced, especially when snow and ice hit….and when you creative ladies have sales! I can tell the coat, which I’d snatch in a heart beat, wouldn’t fit this plus size gal, but what fun it would be to see you and the Nester, even if I bought nothing. Course the chance of that would be nill, LOL. If you don’t sell the necklace, or would like some CT exposure, get back to me? Oh. my. goodness. I want to drive from VA down to NC!!! Is it strange that I feel like I know you? haha! It looks like you’re going to have so many goodies for sale! I feel like we’re always trying to purge in our house- I don’t know where it all comes from…? Well, maybe I do.
I’m trying to decide if 5 hours of driving is too far to drive for a “yard” sale.
Boy, my husband would really think I’d lost my mind. … Just need to find a friend and turn it into a “girls weekend” and “oops! We found a great yard sale while we were gone!”
Oh and 5 hours is nottttt to far to drive! Road trip! Did u see on Nester’s blog about the big sale, she listed all sorts of things to do here in the charlotte area to turn it into a weekend! Grab a friend and come on down!

Angela. The bike. I’ve been looking for a bike. And blue is my favorite color. So The Nester knows me (I’m Emily’s friend and neighbor), so I’m totally legit and not crazy. AND I WANT THAT BIKE. I’ll set it a place at the dinner table. My husband and I (yes, my husband wants to come to the sale with me… good man) are planning on coming, and now I feel like I need to get there right at the start. If you tell me what you want for it and I agree to pay it or even shoot you a check or Paypal beforehand, can you just hold it for me? It would break my heart if traffic or my kids or something kept me from getting there in the beginning to getting my bike. I mean that bike. Your bike. Your beautiful, blue, looks-like-it’s-been-so-loved bike that wants to come live with me. I’ll keep checking the comments, but if you have time to respond and want to just email me, that’s great, too. Can’t wait to come to the sale. And ride my bike home back to Greensboro.
