Happy Flowers

I don’t keep many of the things I create.  However I made these Happy Flowers a couple years ago and haven’t been able to part with them.  I have them in my sewing room and they always make me smile.  I wanted to make another piece similar to my Happy Flowers for my space at Sanctuary of Davidson.

I keep all my scrapes in these cool wood compartments that I found at a yard sale for $5.00.

I decided to go with blue fabric.  Are you shocked?

I sewed the petals onto studier fabric.

I found three of these metal shelves at Habitat Restore.  This one was yellow but I painted it blue.  Shocked again?

Remember these wood bowls I used to make my Hubcap Flowers?  I had two left over!  I’m really into flowers these days!  I must be channeling my inner hippie chick.

I found these wooden platters at a thrift store, 4 for a $1.00.

Green spray paint.

Paper and Modge Podge

Old coasters, yo yos from my sweet friend Suzanne, and buttons.

Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. I am helping with a huge fund raiser garage sale. We will be setting up today and tomorrow and sale is saturday. The fun is that the helpers get to shop early! I will probably be on the lookout for some wooden bowls, etc. I really want to make one of these. Thanks for sharing with us.
