My name is Angela Statzer and I love to incorporate just about anything into my artwork. Ranging from recycled materials, vintage items, wood, jewelry, other people’s junk, buttons and fabric, my style is fun and diverse. You can find me smiling at any yard sale, thrift store or flea market. I am a momma to two amazing kids and wife to one hot husband.

I love early mornings, coffee in hand, house quiet, reading my Bible, or late afternoon, sitting on the porch in the swing, book in hand, our hound Annabelle at my feet. The necklaces are so lovely, and I like the large, intricate disk or the bird on the disk. Thanks for the opportunity! Blessings on your week!
Thanks Julie!!
Sounds like we have the same kinda mornings! I loveeeeeeeeeee early mornings, hot coffee, and a quiet house! I have also been lighting a candle while I read and it just seems to make it extra special!

I like to read, I don’t read nearly as much as I would like too. I like the tree necklace or the birdcage!!!
Thanks for a giveaway.

Hi Shelley!
Yes reading is my favorite thing to do, but I mostly read before bed. I am going to change that up a bit this fall and start reading more during the day and try to hit different parks to read at!
lots of love
Angela
I love anything with birds and flowers- including your lovely necklaces! Quiet time with a grandchild in my lap and a great book is just about my favorite thing to do. (Yes, you can have quiet time with children when you are a grandma!)
Ohhhh Sue, this brought a smile to my face. What a wonderful way to spend a little quiet time. My kiddos started school today and i would give anything to have them back in my lap right now!

What do I do in my quiet time?….Blog reading of course!
hahahahahaha!!! I am soooooo going to catch up on some blog reading now that the kiddos are back in school. Going to catch up on some bog writing as well!
love
Angela
I love the Angel wing, by the way:)
Quiet moment? Nap. No question. Maybe my answer will change when the baby is sleeping through the night…
I love the scallop’y one. Beautiful!
Ahhhhhhhhhh Katherine!
I remember those days when I thought I would never have a moment to myself again. Now that my kids are 6 and 10, I would give anything for those baby days. They grow up soooooooo fast. My two just started school this morning and I miss them like crazy!

I love reading in the afternoons during my kids’ naptime—and I think my favorite necklace is the flower one. Just found your blog about a week ago via The Nester and I Love it!
Rachel
You are so smart to take that time during their nap to do something for you. I use to run around like a crazy person trying to get as much done during that naptime. Then when they woke up I was exhausted. Good for you sister!!!

Mornings are my quiet time. Sitting in my chair in the sunroom watching critters awake – the birds, the comic squirrels, bunnies and , occasionally, deer. Watching the sun crest over the trees and, thanking God for a brand new day. My golden has his morning ritual, too, of coming and resting his head on my lap and watching squirrels and birds with me.
I would love to read in my quiet time with my 3 dogs all laying next to me on the couch. Love the bird necklace.
Quiet time….hmmmm….I have heard of that…rarely experienced it.
I have loved to read since I was 5….and since having Lilly 4 1/2 years ago, I can barely finish a book….I read one sentance and fall asleep.
Takes me forever to finish one book. I miss reading….I am so out of the loop…and had no idea what 50 Shades of Grey was….until I picked it up in Target and almost passed out….I turned around thinking I would see my Granny there to smack me with the look of shame. SO, if I had quiet time, I would curl up in bed with lots of my Granny’s homemade quilts and my little chihuahua curled up at my side and read a book….ANY book….in fact doesn’t even have to be a book….magazine….junk mail….back of the cracker box……4 volumes of how to use the remote control….anything. Of course I would never read such books as the above mentioned…(she says in her best southern belle accent while fanning herself with chihuahua)…I am so reading that book…shhhh, don’t tell Granny.
Love your necklaces! I wish I lived closer so that I may stalk you in proper fashion. You are so great! I love the bird on the tree branch…number 5.
I like to paint furniture in my quiet time. It’s so relaxing for me!
I love your necklaces and love your blog. First found you through the Nester and I fell in love with your house on her blog.
Love all of your color and handmade, loved look – so cozy.
I love all of your necklaces, but am really lovin’ the bird with the branch!
Oh, and quiet time – sorry, I forgot because my 2 yo was standing right next to me asking for “two treats”. Yes, two in particular.
In the quiet, I love playing in the dirt with plants when I can, reading, and catching up with friends.
I have a few things I like to do when my house is quiet: cook/be in the kitchen by myself, watch a movie that only I am interested in, pray, read, drink a good cup of coffee… they are all my favorite!
Enjoy your back to school time!
I love love LOVE the quiet in the house in the mornings before the boys wake up. I like to make coffee, sit on the couch, read my Bible, pray, and just BE in the quiet.
Wow!!! I totally thought I was the only one who loved getting up at the crack of dawn! I love the quiet mornings when everyone is still asleep. I feel so thankful that I have my kiddos and hubby all happy and healthy upstairs all sound asleep.

I love to get up before my family and sit in my cozy living room and have my coffee and read some in my Bible and a Nicholas Sparks book I happen to be reading…also my sweet pup is next to my side and I rub her belly….I love the bird in the cage!
Hi Linda!
SOunds like we have the same mornings!! Love it!
Angela
Angela, I like necklaces 3 and 4 and 8. Right now, my only way to spend any quiet time is “the dash” to get up before my kiddos – 3 months, 2 years, 5 years. I sneak down our rickety stairs (if i walk on tip toes, on the very far left or the far right, they don’t squeak..it’s a science and a balancing act) I throw two scoops in the coffee pot and work on reading just a psalm – one or just a chapter – one…hoping to get through it before I hear small sweet voices.
Hahahahaha Mindy I totally remember that! Trying to be soooooooooooo quiet so you won’t wake anyone up!! One time I finally got both kids asleep and slowly very quietly slide onto the couch with my book. At that moment the UPS man rang my dorrbell and my dog went nuts barking like crazy. Both kids woke up and I wanted to cry! Had to wait till the next day for my quiet time!

Angela
P.S. I looked through pictures again from the Nester’s tour of your home. Do you mainly look for painted canvas when you thrift shop and then just remove the frames? I have always loved the real art but get scared of the ugly frames.
Love that everyone likes those quiet mornings with that first cup of coffee in the favorite mug! That is quite a treat. With my new back to school schedule, I drop my 6 year old off at first grade (her school starts very early) then I get the priviledge of coming home and having quiet breakfast with my nine month old baby daughter. We sit in the breakfast nook and watch the birds at the bird feeder, look in eachother’s eyes and smile, before mommy has to go in to work. Such a precious stolen moment! When left to my own devices, I love to sit on the porch and people/nature watch, quietly, thinking of almost nothing!
I’d love to win the bird with the branch – dove with the olive branch? Love it! Hope I win!
Hi Sarah!
That sounds wonderful! Quiet time with your little one! Thanks for sharing!
lots of love
Angela
Angela My favorite time is coffee on the deck, and just watching nature, look to see what is new and and then get my camera and take LOTS of pictures. before I know it 100 pictures later, then the best is to see the surprise of opening your pictures to see what you got. I Love all the necklace but I think i like birdies ones the best. thanks JOanne
Thanks for sharing Joanne, sounds beautiful!

Cute necklaces! My favorites are the wing and the medallion looking disk. My very favorite way to spend quiet time is with a nice drink – cold drink in summer, coffee in winter – and a good book to read….without interruptions. Looking forward to some of that sometime soon!
My favorite is the wing too!!!

I love when my little one goes down for a nap and I can sit with a drink (usually lemonade) in one hand and a book- Bible, latest fiction addiction, or MaryJane’s Farm magazine and just relax…..
And PS I would love either any of the necklaces..but the angel wing is probably my favorite!
I loveeeeeeeeeee MaryJane’s Farm mag!!!! That is one of my favorites!!! My all time favorite is Home Companion, I almost tried when I found out they were not going to print it anymore! Such a sad day!

When my daughter is at school I work on a painting, sew, or pull out some project. I’ve also been known to listen to absolutely nothing while driving in the car. Silence is so nice sometimes!
All the necklaces are lovely, it would be hard to pick! I like either the birdcage or rose best, I think.
Hey girl!
You won the necklace!!! Congratulations! Just send me your address and I will get it in the mail to you!
YEAH!!!!
lots of love
Angela
I like to spend my quiet time by reading a really great book! However, I have a new baby in the house so quiet time has been limited. Nowadays I’m happy to be able to spend 5 minutes sitting on the couch and drinking a can of pepsi!
Oops … forgot to tell you which necklace I like! I’m really fond of the 5th one down. The one with the bird in the circle.
Any time i have a few spare minutes, I grab my knitting needles. Ahhhh……
blog reading is a favorite for this homeschool mom
thanks for asking…I really like the tall flowers and the bird cage would be a close second!
Quiet time? I have a house with 3 little ones under age 4 and a 4 year old black lab golden retriever mix. There isn’t much quiet time here. That’s actually a place where I’m struggling right now. I need that quiet time with the Lord and I would love a time to craft. It’s just hard in this season. But I would love to win a necklace
.
Oh I love all of the necklaces, but especially the bird with the branch in its mouth. And the birdcage! As a study-from-home-mom, I use every quiet moment to get grad school homework done. And I love checking blogs like yours when I am procrastinating from homework
By reading a good magazine or book. I love the bird holding branches
Hi Angela,
I think my absolute favorite thing to do when the house is quiet is to putter around in my craft room. Napping would probably be the #2 thing I enjoy. My “baby” just started college today….YIKES!!!! He’s at home for now, but is looking to move into an apartment soon. Empty nesting is staring me in the face, and I know my quiet time will escalate! So, I appreciate these posts. Trying to figure out what to do with all the extra time is a little over-whelming to me!
I love the necklace with the filigree (did I spell that right?). Actually, I love ALL of them, but that is probably my favorite!!!
My favorite thing to do when I get a quiet moment is to journal, read, or craft! My children went back to school last week so I have a few hours of quietness. I love the necklace with the bird on the round disk!
Quiet time is rare thing for me these days as I work full time and have 4 grandchildren 3years of age and younger and LOVE to spend time with them, BUT when I do get some quite time I love to escape to my sewing room, That relaxes me so much!! The necklaces are grand. I love the bird on the branch I guess as my first choice and the taller flowers is a very close second. Would not be disappointed with either one. Enjoy reading your blog.
I love a cup of coffee and my Bible (your blog too!) at naptime (the only time my house is quiet!). All the necklaces are great, but I think my favorite is the wing:-) Enjoy your quiet days!
Quiet time? Hmmm, a girl can dream! Three kids in sports and music lessons and going to school full time, I love anytime that I don’t have a textbook in my hand
I love, love, love both of the flower necklaces, but they are all beautiful!
After breakfast, I take my coffee and iPad to the den and gear up for my day. Great way to start, huh? The necklace w/the bird was cute! Thanks for a chance to win!
Oops, I meant to say the round charm with the bird! Thanks
Hi Angela! I love very early morning quiet time, when it’s still dark and no one else is up yet. I’m trying to get back into the habit of getting up extra early, catching up on my bible reading and then going for a walk or run. It gets me ready for my day. Now that the kids are back in school, I have a little too much quiet (it will come so soon all you momma’s with babies….) I love all the necklaces ( I think I’ll have to order the horse one for my DD#2. I really like the scallopy one or the flower one, but they are all precious.
Thanks for making me think about this! I love time with my Bible, uninterrupted!, crocheting, dog snuggling up to me. Your necklaces are gorgeous! I think I’m partial to the birdhouse, makes me think of you.
Quiet time? Not sure what I would do….maybe read a book uninterupted?
Love all of the botanical and bird pendants.
Ohhh – quiet time. I love to curl up with a good book. Though for some reason, I can’t recall the last one that I’ve read!
Lovely necklaces! I like the bird one and also the medallion. What great lines they have!
Reading is my favorite way to spend quiet time. Round bird necklace – Love!
For me, I love reading, knitting, or playing piano….but while it’s nice out, going outside for a walk
)
Love to sit on my cute little deck on early fall mornings with a cup of coffee and pray, think, watch the birds. Also love to garden, bake, make jam or sew when I have quiet time for myself! Love the filigree and tulip charms!
I especially love a cool quiet fall morning. Looking forward to sitting on the back porch early with a cup of coffee and my Bible.
I just learned how to crochet. It was on my bucket list and now I am hooked…lol
There is something about an open window in the early fall, a hot cup of coffee beside me and working away on a project. my kinda happy.
Have a beautiful day!
Ohhhhh Keri
Will you come here and teach me how to crochet!?!? I want to make those granny squares so bad!!!
