10 Minute Lamp Makeover

I love to take an old ugly lamp and turn it into something fun and unique. This is one of my favorites covered in yoyos.

This is one of my favorite spots in my house. I spend a lot of time in that chair. I get up most mornings around 5:00-5:30 and spend time reading and praying curled up under that blanket.

I bought this lamp from Ikea because most mornings when I get up it is still dark out and I wanted just a little light to read by. I’ve had it for about a month now and I couldn’t take the plain white lampshade any longer!!! It kept screaming at me to do something with it!

I also had these two lamps that I wasn’t using anymore.

I found a bag of these quilt pieces at an antique store. 24 pieces for $12.00.

I pinned the quilt pieces on the lampshade  and plugged in my glue gun.

Ten minutes later I had three new fun and unique lamps!!

These two are heading to Sanctuary of Davidson!

Who is that cutie!?!?!

Oh my gosh, Angela! NOW I know what to do with the rest of that quilt I made the owl with! (I am keeping a few more segments for more owls, they ARE addicting to make!) I will have to separate the backing, but I see great possibilities. Thanks so much for yet more great ideas…
