Coasters from The Dollar Tree. Turns out we are not coaster people. If you come over to my house place that sweaty glass right on my wood coffee table. I will probably be painting it next month anyway!
Trash pickin wood. I am not above fishing things out of other people’s trash.
Little paint, distressing, and glaze!
This started out as an owl clock but I dropped it and the ear cracked off. No problem, it looked like a vase with the missing ear. I used my jigsaw to get the exact vase look I had in my head.
Fabric and felt for the leaves.
Fabric and buttons for the flower. Oh!!! and the coasters!!!
Anytime I get to play in all my trim and ribbon and pom poms I am a happy girl.
It’s been tricky managing time with the kids and trying to complete a few projects this summer. I have been trying to get in a couple hours in each day. It felt really great to complete this fun little project! How do you sneak a little time for yourself in while hanging with the kids this summer?

My name is Angela Statzer and I love to incorporate just about anything into my artwork. Ranging from recycled materials, vintage items, wood, jewelry, other people’s junk, buttons and fabric, my style is fun and diverse. You can find me smiling at any yard sale, thrift store or flea market. I am a momma to two amazing kids and wife to one hot husband.

Angela, your trash to treasure posts just blow me away! It makes me wonder how many beautiful possibilities I have thrown away. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us.
I love your creations and appreciate the time you take to show everyone your steps! I am having a little trouble finding time this summer bc of the kids. But I have taken your advice and just did a few hours last night while kids were in their barbie zone. Thanks!

Hey Devon!
We should get together and have one of our brain storming sessions! Maybe the kiddos would play!

Hi Angela,
The summers, for some reason, seem to be more hectic than the school year. It's hard to find time for me to breathe much less make art. I am going to start work on a friend's blog next week so that should feed my creative soul for a bit. I may have to pull some all-nighter's, though, to pull that off. It's my passion so I don't mind a bit. Cute artwork by the way.

What kinda work do you do with blogs!?!?!? I need helppppppppppppppppppppppp! I am lucky I can turn this stinkin computer on much less fix my blog!!

So cute! I am shocked to win something. Should I email you?
your composition and color choices are perfection, girl. You make it look so easy! my problem with summer is the heat heat heat. Almost all my go-to projects require not only heat (torch, oven, kiln) but open-window ventilation. Ah yes, and teens who need to be driven everywhere because summer is SO BORING!
You're so creative! I wouldn't think of any of that. It's all beautiful.
