I use to love making jewelry. Can you tell?
Beaded necklaces, fun earrings, I went though a fairly obsessed phase with anything that had to do with beads. I haven’t been into it as much until recently. Right after Thanksgiving, I was totally inspired by my amazing and talented friend Tiny Twig. On her blog, she was selling the most beautiful necklaces she created from vintage beads. Also if you haven’t checked it out she just wrote an awesome ebook, The No Brainer Wardrobe, I highly recommend it!!
Working at 32 Flavors Boutique has only added fuel to the fire. The boutique carries a large selection of beads and findings, and also offers a workspace where you can sit right on down and make some jewelry. When I am working that is what you will find me doing!!!

| Making necklaces is a lot easier than it looks. |

| Lay your beads out in a design that you love. If you are looking for beads or any of the jewelry making supplies, I suggest finding a bead store or boutique in your area that sells these supplies. You can also find everything you need in the large craft store chains, but I think the smaller speciality stores offer more unique, and affordable products. Plus if you buy your supplies from a bead store or boutique like 32 Flavors you also get help if you are looking for it. |

| Honestly I just buy the first wire I come across. I know there are different brands, gauges, weight, and types but I don’t waste my time with the little details!haha |

| Load your beads on the wire. |
|
| You will need two crimp beads and a clasp. |
|
| Once you beads are on the wire, slide on the crimp bead on the wire and then part of your clasp. |
|
| Slide the wire back down though the crimp bead and pull tight. |

| Grab your crimping pliers. The crimping pliers have two slots. |
|
| Lay the crimp bead in the back slot and squeeze hard. |
|
| Turn the crimp bead on it’s side in the front slot and squeeze again. |
Ta da!!! Now you can make lots of fun necklaces! If this makes no sense and you would like to learn how to make jewelry, I am working at 32 Flavors Boutique this Thursday from 10:00-2:30! Come in and make some jewelry with me! Great thing to learn for gift giving!
