I loveeeeeeee a good ole flea market, antique show, and especially yard sales. One of my favorite places to go is Metrolina Antique and Trade Show. Right before i walk into Metrolina’s gates, my heart beats faster, I get a little flushed, and I find myself pushing people out of the way (not really…. but I think about it)!! I live for finding great deals and cast offs that nobody else wants. Thanks to my buddy, The Nester, and her encouraging words, next show (June 3,4,5) I am going to have my own outdoor space to sell my stuff! I will be selling lots of painted and distressed furniture, things I have created, and things I have found and spruced up. Here are some examples……..
I love to find things that just need a little paint and a lot of love. Most of the things I buy come from yard sales, Goodwill, The Habitat Store, Salvation Army and cost next to nothing. I did splurge on the cow, and spent a whole quarter (no wait…. the Nester had to let me borrow a quarter, so she actually spent the big bucks and owns the cow)!
2. PAINT
I use either spray paint or regular craft paint depending on the piece and the color I want. I even use whatever paint I am using at the moment to paint furniture.
My name is Angela Statzer and I love to incorporate just about anything into my artwork. Ranging from recycled materials, vintage items, wood, jewelry, other people’s junk, buttons and fabric, my style is fun and diverse. You can find me smiling at any yard sale, thrift store or flea market. I am a momma to two amazing kids and wife to one hot husband.
